As experts in playing music that is both authentic and true to both style and vibe, we can assist with repertoire selections to fit the ambiance of your event and flawlessly compliment your theme.


DANCES/GALAS/EVENTS
If your event involves dancing… that’s right up our alley! We have a huge and incredibly comprehensive repertoire of the greatest dance music from all decades — starting in the 1920’s right through to todays top 40 hits. If your crowd is a mixed age group… no problem… we can play a great mix to make everyone happy. If your crowd is more or less around the same age range, we’ll tap into their tastes and give them an enjoyable night to remember!

AWARDS PRESENTATIONS
We are experienced at following run-of-shows and scripts, as well as working with event directors/stage managers, and flawlessly executing music cues and walk on/walk offs. We are comfortable on com systems and adept at accommodating game-time shifts/changes while still making it feel completely seamless to your audience. No director, no stage manager… also no problem! We are extremely self-sufficient and we’re comfortable calling our own music cues if needed. We’re equally good at 'follow the leader' and 'play it by ear' and everything in between!

AMBIANCE
We are completely versed in the most elegant jazz, American songbook, lounge and bossa nova styles. We can create a totally elegant listening, background, cocktail, and/or dining experience. We perform Gershwin, Cole Porter, and all the greats on a regular basis so our music is seamless and fluid. As a bonus… we can play jazzy instrumental versions of current top 40, Y2K, classic pop, Motown, R&B, classic soul and classic rock songs for awesome ambiance impact. Music for ambiance can be purely instrumental or it can include male and/or female vocals!

Dear Rich: The New York Edge Orchestra was the perfect band for my family’s company 125th year anniversary party. We had a cocktail hour, speeches, dinner, and dancing and the band knew the right mood for each phase of our night. They can play such a vast selection of music that old and young enjoyed the event. Each request was able to be fulfilled and the band was able to get the crowd going through the evening. It was such fun to have an interactive set.
